If you’re stressed, reverse it with brownies

Brownies are a time machine to a simpler era
It’s National Brownie Day!
According to this, it’s a very special day today! Celebrate on December 8 by picking a recipe and baking for someone you care about.
If I’m gonna be the Global Brownie Ambassador, I’ve gotta help the world to share the brownie love, right?
T-shirt for brownie lovers
Spotted this brownie t-shirt on the InterWebs. Made me laugh and thought you might like it, too.
This has inspired a brownie idea
My instructions to you: 1) Get a bottle of Kahlua, a brownie mix, and this box mix for mousse. 2) Wait for further instructions.
PS – Disclaimer…Though Jell-O probably loves me, they don’t pay me and I’m not affiliated with them in any way other than sheer affection.
Chocolate lovers, rejoice in this ready-made snack
Don’t have time to make a batch of brownies? Look no further. Check out this amazing, crispy, chocolatey, peanut-buttery snack delight that I found on the shelf this fall. I’m in love! (You’re welcome, in advance.)
What I’m working on now
During sleeping and waking hours, I have a BUNCHA brownie ideas flying around in my head.
Below is a sampling of the sweet chaos in my dreams. These ideas will soon go through the KT (Kitchen-Testing) Phase:
- I want you all to welcome autumn with a killer season-inspired brownie. I’m working on the Pumpkin-Cheesecake Brownie. Yowza!
- For kids going back to school, I’m working on a Lunchbox Brownie, something that will a) travel well and b) create extreme kid jealousy at the cafeteria table.
- For adults, I’m developing a lovely blonde brownie with a bit of zing: key-lime and margarita. Oh. My. Goo’ness.
- This is “really out there.” I’m crafting a chocolate brownie recipe by starting with a lovely white refrigerator cake: Tres Leches Cake. (“Three milks,” for all you Americanos out there.) Not sure it’ll work, but it is definitely worth a try.
Yes, all of this is a lot of work, but it’s delicious effort spent on something that makes me, and others, happy. Ah, the things we do for love.
XO, everyone. I’ll be posting more recipes soon. Until then, I hope your dreams are as sweet as mine.
The Hindi translation for “yum”

My first thank-you note in Hindi. I love my readers and my brownie taste-testers! How cool is it that I get thanked in multiple languages?
I’ve been baking all my life, and over the years I’ve received many kind thank-you notes for the treats I’ve shared. But this is totally new. It’s my first Hindi-language note of appreciation. Seems that “yum” is the universal language. स्वादिष्ट
